Roland Barthes- audiences will understand the genre and narrative of Looped due to concepts of the mise-en-scene. costumes and settings will be important to distinguish the genre and therefore what the narrative will be. For example, to ensure that audiences understand the setting/surrounding of where the victim is located, different shots that contain different props will be used to enable audiences to associate these locations with a kidnapping narrative.
